Richard Drewyor – Arts
Richard Drewyor, a resident of Alabama, has been an artist his entire life. He creates artworks in the painting, drawing, photography, sculpture, video, mixed media, and performance mediums. His artistic style(s) can be categorized as abstract, expressionism, conceptual, impressionism, process, surrealism, action, minimalism, color field, or a combination of two or more of each.
Drewyor became an artist because of his active imagination and as a result of living in many cities and traveling through many countries during his early childhood. He was influenced by the many visual experiences he encountered as well as the numerous art galleries he visited. His current bodies of work include: “Artticova”, “A Small Matter Of Time”, and
“The Legend Of Starlight RD”.
Drewyor’s favorite artists include: Dine, Dali, Van Gogh, Picasso, Warhol, Monet, Marc, Man Ray, Pollock, Oldenburg, Guston, Balla, Rothenberg, Richter, Steir, Dubuffet, Mondrain, Krasner, Ono, Rauschenberg, Twombly, OnKawara, and Kusama.
